The black version of our 8 MM everyday band: a brushed black centre with polished black edges. The black on tungsten is a bonded surface treatment, not paint — it's applied under heat and vacuum so it becomes part of the ring rather than a coat on top of it, which is why it doesn't chip off the way a black-plated silver ring does.

How black wears
Black tungsten is extremely hard but not invincible — a deep gouge against concrete or steel can go through the black layer and show the grey metal underneath. In practice that takes real abuse; normal office, gym and household wear won't do it. Wipe it with a dry cloth; don't use abrasive polish, which is the one thing that will dull the finish.
Sizing
An 8 MM band sits tighter than a narrow one at the same size — size up if you're in between. Tungsten can't be resized, and emergency removal is done by cracking the band, not sawing it.
