Solid means solid — each link is a full piece of 14K rose gold, not a tube with air inside. That is the whole difference in a Miami Cuban, and you feel it the moment you pick the chain up: solid sits heavier, hangs straighter, and holds its shape for a lifetime, where a hollow link can dent or crease if it's crushed. It is also why these prices are what they are. You are buying the gold.
Rose gold gets its colour from copper in the alloy. That copper also makes it the hardest of the three 14K colours — a practical bonus on a chain you plan to wear every day.
Choosing your chain
Every width and length is its own piece with its own gram weight. Select both above and the page shows the exact weight and price for that combination before you add to cart — the price is calculated from the weight, nothing else.
- Widths: 4, 5, 5.8, 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 MM. In a solid Cuban, 4–5 MM already has real presence; 6.5 MM and up is a serious chain.
- Lengths: 16 to 30 inches. 20″–22″ sits at the neck, 24″ and longer on the chest.
- Metal: 14K rose gold, 58.5% pure, stamped 14K
- Clasp: box clasp with a double safety catch — the only clasp worth putting on a chain this heavy
Care
Warm soapy water and a soft brush; rinse and dry fully, including inside the clasp. Keep it out of chlorine, which attacks the copper and other alloy metals. A solid chain takes daily wear without complaint — just don't sleep in it, which is how clasps get bent.
Also available in yellow and white gold, and in 10K and hollow versions if you want the same look at a lower weight.
