A rectangle signet ring in solid 14K yellow gold. The rectangle is the traditional monogram shape — its width takes two or three initials side by side more comfortably than a round or oval face does, which is why it has been the standard crest shape for generations.
14K gold is 58.5% pure. That is what gives it the deep, warm yellow people picture when they think of a gold signet, and enough gold content to hold its value. It is also hard enough to take daily wear and an engraver's tools without deforming.
The three sizes
- Small — 7 x 8.5 mm, about 3.3 g. A pinky signet, and the size most women choose.
- Medium — 12.5 x 11 mm, about 6.5 g. The everyday rectangle, with room for two initials.
- Large — 15 x 17 mm, about 16.4 g. A serious men's ring — a full crest fits, and you feel the weight.
Closed back, cast solid, hand-polished and fully sizeable, in sizes 5 through 15 including every half size.
